PRODUCT WARRANTY (EU)
1. Your Legal Rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you are entitled to a minimum 2-year legal guarantee from the date of delivery under EU law.
If the product is not in conformity with the contract (for example, due to a manufacturing defect), you are entitled to:

Repair or replacement free of charge

A price reduction or refund if repair or replacement is not possible or proportionate
These statutory rights apply regardless of any commercial warranty offered and cannot be excluded or limited.
2. Commercial Warranty
In addition to your legal rights, Fatboy Bikes provides the following commercial warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship:

Frame: 2 years

Battery: 2 years
-
Motor and electrical components: 2 years
-
Other components: 2 years
The warranty period starts from the date of delivery.
Under this commercial warranty, we will repair or replace defective parts free of charge. Where required by law, repair or replacement will also be free of shipping costs.
3. What Is Covered
This warranty covers defects that:

Were present at the time of delivery; or
-
Result from faulty materials or workmanship during the warranty period
If a defect appears within the first 12 months, it is presumed to have existed at delivery unless proven otherwise.
4. What Is Not Covered
The following are not considered manufacturing defects:

Normal wear and tear
-
Improper assembly not performed according to instructions

Damage caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, or negligence

Commercial use (unless otherwise agreed)

Unauthorised modifications to the frame, motor, battery, or electrical system
Examples of normal wear parts include:

Brake pads
-
Brake rotors
-
Tyres
-
Chain
-
Grips
-
Fork seals
-
Saddle
-
Fluids and lubricants
Tyre punctures are considered normal wear and are not covered.
Rust or corrosion caused by improper storage or maintenance is not covered.
5. Water Resistance
Your electric bike is water resistant for normal wet conditions and light rain. It is not waterproof.
Damage caused by submersion or extreme exposure to water is not covered.
6. Assembly and Adjustments
Minor adjustments (for example brakes or derailleur tuning) may be required after delivery. Instructions are available online.
Costs charged by third-party service providers for assembly or adjustments are not covered unless required under applicable consumer law.
7. Cosmetic Damage
Minor cosmetic damage such as small scratches resulting from transport that do not affect functionality are not considered defects. Where appropriate, touch-up paint may be provided.
8. Modifications
Unauthorised modifications may void the commercial warranty if they cause or contribute to the defect.
This includes, but is not limited to:

Installing an aftermarket throttle
-
Modifying the electrical system
-
Replacing or altering the controller or battery
-
Disconnecting safety systems
-
Cutting or altering wiring
Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
9. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in this warranty limits or excludes liability where such limitation is not permitted under EU law.

Proof of Purchase Required
To make a claim, please contact the seller with proof of purchase.
You may be asked to:

Provide photos or videos

Follow troubleshooting steps

Return defective parts for inspection
We will assess whether the issue is covered under warranty. Where the cause of a defect cannot reasonably be determined, we will act in good faith and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
If repair or replacement is required, this will be provided free of charge as required under EU law.
